Nia Archives - Junglist World Tour 2024/25

  • Nia said that her album ‘Silence Is Loud’ was like a diary of her life, so we designed her new show as a diary of a single night out. This loose narrative thread takes us on a rollercoaster, visual journey into New-gen Jungle via different scenes: Nia’s bedroom, a lift interior, through a subway tunnel to a roller shuttered shop, inside a convenience store, and finally into the back of a cab with Rinse FM on the Stereo. Everything in the show, from set and stage design to video, lighting and camera direction, all springs from that central narrative idea.

The visuals play with the aesthetic of the music production. High intensity, layered components run simultaneously across multiple screens. Brand new elements are chopped into re-edits of archive rave footage, with 3D components courtesy of Intranet Girl. Dot-matrix graphics are a recurring storytelling motif, creating patterns and textures that follow the intensity and energy of the music.

A specially designed DJ booth immerses Nia in this visual world, and with live cameras also feeding in, the result feels immediate, unique and contemporary whilst also referencing ‘the archive’ - the past - in myriad ways.
